the first sign of spring! i love the crocus. a few years ago I planted some bulbs and they come back every year - the first to pop out when the weather is still bleak and we have a warm day followed by a freezing day. I guess they are just hearty little fellows. i was worried when i spotted them and then the next day it snowed (for the 3rd? time this year) we never get snow. regardless, they are still opening up every morning when the sun hits.I had to capture one and bring it inside to paint because they will be gone before i know it.
