Peachtree Road Holiday Artist Market

Yesterday morning was the first of two holiday artist markets at the Peachtree Road Farmers Market (St Philips).

It was a lot of fun and great to meet so many people. Hoping to see everyone at the Dec 17th market!

This weekend is the Clairmont elementary school market place and I'll be there friday night and saturday. I will have the engraved glass and also some new jewelry pieces-come check it out!

This weekend the Decatur Market and Gallery is having a reception and exhibit titled, "Fallen".

Many artists, myself included, will be bringing special pieces for this theme.

galax vase • hand engraved

The small galax oval vases were such a hit that I decided to do several on a larger vase. This one is available at the Decatur Market and Gallery along with several other new pieces.

There is something so refreshing about spending time at the beach. Before our trip, I engraved 4 tumblers to bring along and photograph while we were there. A starfish, sand dollar, sea horse and sea turtle make crisp clean images for a set of tumblers.

Galax, ferns and bird vases

I just finished 50 small oval vases for a client to give as event gifts. Because they could not choose just one design, we split up the order using three designs: the ever popular love birds, fern branch and a new design, a galax leaf. I love the solid effect of the galax and already have plans to incorporate it into another vase. Even though there are multiples of these designs, each vase is truly unique. No two can be alike since all engraving is done by hand. (and I tend to freehand these designs as well) Take a look and check back for more new items soon.

Acorns at Old Edwards Inn

I am excited to announce that my engraved glassware is now at the beautiful home decor store, Acorns, at Old Edwards Inn in Highlands, North Carolina. They will carry several different engraved pieces available for direct purchase or custom orders. The glass tumblers pictured here will be in several of their retail locations and are engraved with their signature acorns. So, if you are in Highlands, stop by and see these new pieces in person! They are a perfect way to take a little bit of Highlands home with you.

This is a variation of the vase I did this past feb. You cannot tell from this photo, but some of the round leaves are etched inside this vase, adding dimension. I have never thought to do this before, but I liked the effect, especially with this design.

Happy Valentine's Day! Here is a recent piece that I put in the Decatur Gallery show this past weekend. There was a lovely open house saturday night and many of the artists made special pieces for the "love is in the air" theme.

Have a nice evening! We are doing our usual cooking in on this holiday since we love to cook...for a few weeks we have been talking about making Lions Head Chinese meatballs.
