Another new one.
I have been thinking about color combinations. Navy blue and pink or orange keep coming back to me.
Here is the latest.

It feels great to be painting again.

On friday I posted it to Facebook and all the responses really encouraged and inspired me to do more!
This one is most likely SOLD!!!
And, yes this painting has SOLD!
I'll be creating a facebook page soon and expanding my website gallery.
In the meantime you can visit and view some of my work at:

The holiday season was great! This was my first year to participate in holiday markets and it was exciting and productive. I met so many new and interesting people which lead to some exciting custom design work that I hope to display on this blog soon.
In the meantime I am updating my catalog and busy photographing some new items.
Here is the current catalog cover and please check back to see some updates over the next couple of weeks.
Happy 2012!

Galax, ferns and bird vases
I just finished 50 small oval vases for a client to give as event gifts. Because they could not choose just one design, we split up the order using three designs: the ever popular love birds, fern branch and a new design, a galax leaf. I love the solid effect of the galax and already have plans to incorporate it into another vase. Even though there are multiples of these designs, each vase is truly unique. No two can be alike since all engraving is done by hand. (and I tend to freehand these designs as well) Take a look and check back for more new items soon.

love birds small vase
Love birds, hand etched on oval vase approx 3.5" tall. $40-Now at the Decatur market and gallery (update this one at the gallery just sold, but there is one available on Etsy!). my etsy shop, click here.
This is a variation of the vase I did this past feb. You cannot tell from this photo, but some of the round leaves are etched inside this vase, adding dimension. I have never thought to do this before, but I liked the effect, especially with this design.

Friends and wine • carafe
This was a special order from a couple weeks ago and a fun example of how customers come up with great phrases of their own! This one says, "Friends, the wine of life".

butterfly • hand etched glass

I just found this new glass shape and love the open space it has for engraving/etching. I was tempted to go crazy, but decided to etch a simple design inspired by the recent spring buds and butterflies flying around outside.
This one is currently at the Decatur Market and Gallery.
